Million Dollar Musings, Part II - Hitters: Tuesday, April 11

CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Welcome to Part Two of the Tuesday Musings, where we’ll look at the loaded hitting slate. Salary is the name of the game for me on the hitting side tonight, but boy oh boy is it fun to look at the high-end bats in great spots making it very easy to find MLB DFS picks to love on this Tuesday night.
Similar to yesterday, Coors Field and the Angels will be the standouts, but we have at least a half dozen other teams that could easily qualify as top of the slate plays.

Tuesday Hitting: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

The Cardinals will jump off the page tonight based on projections and Vegas total, but they are not nearly the only team in the strong top tier that looks like this:
TOP TIER OFFENSE
St. Louis Cardinals at Kyle Freeland
LA Angels vs Josiah Gray
Colorado Rockies vs Miles Mikolas
Toronto Blue Jays vs Matt Manning
Texas Rangers vs Jordan Lyles
Atlanta Braves vs Luis Cessa
Kyle Freeland has not allowed a run yet this season in 12 strong innings. That is wonderful for him, but 13% strikeouts and 51% fly balls are just not going to work for long. He’s one of those guys that is usually decent-ish in real life, but decent-ish means three straight years of an ERA between 4.33-4.53 with low strikeouts and a 5.28 ERA at Coors Field the past two years. What we know is that the St. Louis righties will be the top projected bats on the slate and almost certainly the most popular bats on the slate. It won’t be easy to fit both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado, so my hunch is that Tyler O’Neil and Willson Contreras end up as the chalkiest plays here and we see a lot of wrap-around stacks with guys like Jordan Walker and Juan Yepez picking up high ownership.
