Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Monday 6/29

Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS picks

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to muse about the June 29, 2026 MLB DFS slate.

Happy Monday! We kick off the week with an unusually large 11-game slate. The first thing that jumps off the page here is that we have the three best hitting environments in the league in play tonight – Coors Field, West Sacramento, and a wind game in Wrigley. That starts us off with 3 games that have totals between 10.5 – 11.5 runs, but there’s still plenty more offense beyond those games. With that, I land on a pretty small pitching pool, as I don’t want to be spreading out all over the place on both sides of the ledger.

Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

Kirby of the Mariners

The hitting is far more exciting than the pitching, and I will quickly be getting down to a very condensed pool. If you want to have more pitchers in your pool than I do, that’s completely reasonable, but all I can bother to mention are four top-tier pitchers and a few salary savers (most of whom will quickly be crossed off the list).

TOP TIER QUARTET

I think the most important starting point here is George Kirby. He’s the cheapest of these four pitchers on both sites, and he appears very likely to be the heavy chalk due to that salary and his matchup. Pitching at home in Seattle against the Angels is a great spot, but he has not seen the same dominance at home this season as he has in the past. He still has just an average (at best) 21.7% K rate at home this season, and he’s topped 6 strikeouts in only 2 of 16 starts overall. None of that makes him a bad play – I’m just pointing out that upside is rarely likely to be found with this guy. He still has the great control, and the ballpark helps mute any of the Angels’ power bats. Whether or not he gains any extra ceiling from their 5 higher-strikeout bats will likely determine whether this is just a boring quality start that is completely fine for the salary or something you couldn’t have won without at his salary and ownership. Based on what we’ve seen this season, my lean is more towards another boring quality start that is fine but certainly beatable. Let’s see what else we find and then decide if it’s worth trying to beat it.
