Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Monday 6/8

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to muse about the June 8, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Monday! We have an 8-game slate on tap for tonight that starts a bit earlier than usual at 6:35 PM ET. This is a slate where we have a couple of elite aces priced way up and then what appears to be an underwhelming and fairly tangled hitting slate. There is only one high total game on the slate, and the one team that sort of stands out is extremely expensive, as the Brewers follow up their Coors Field series with a trip to Las Vegas, where the A’s are trading one good ‘home’ hitting park for another. As you would expect, it’s silly hot in Vegas tonight, which explains the high total in that game and adds some extra trickiness to one of the ace pitchers.
Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

We have two of the best pitchers in the league this season, along with a 3rd high-strikeout pitcher headlining this slate. It appears to be a little tricky with salaries and matchups, so let’s see what we can figure out.
TOP TIER PITCHING
- Cristopher Sanchez at Blue Jays – 29.5% K, 4.9% BB, 1.46 ERA, 2.55 SIERA
- Kyle Harrison at A’s (in Las Vegas) – 31.9% K, 7% BB, 1.57 ERA, 2.88 SIERA
- Gavin Williams vs. Yankees – 29% K, 7.7% BB, 3.20 ERA, 3.19 SIERA
- Will Warren at Guardians – 25.8% K, 7% BB, 3.22 ERA, 3.51 SIERA
- Connelly Early at Rays – 22.7% K, 8.3% BB, 3.26 ERA, 4.02 SIERA
- Emerson Hancock at Orioles – 25.8% K, 5.5% BB, 2.80 ERA, 3.33 SIERA
- Logan Webb vs. Nationals – 20.3% K, 7.6% BB, 4.25 ERA, 3.67 SIERA
Cristopher Sanchez and Kyle Harrison have been two of the best pitchers in the league this season, and nothing looks fluky about it from their underlying skills. The main differences between the two are that Sanchez has been an elite pitcher for a longer period of time, plus he adds in the ground balls that give an added layer of safety to his skill set.
The only thing holding Sanchez back from being a must-play are his high salary and a low-strikeout matchup against the Blue Jays. Once you get up to these $11,500+ salaries, just being great isn’t necessarily enough. I don’t see any reason not to expect another outstanding 7+ inning start. It’s just a matter of whether or not he gets enough strikeouts to pay off this appropriately high price tag. He’s the clear SP1 if salary doesn’t matter, but let’s see what else we find on this slate and then determine the importance of spending up to Sanchez.
