Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Monday 3/30

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to give you his musings on the March 30, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Monday! We kick off the first full week of MLB with a very muddled 10-game slate. There is not a single pitcher above $9,000 on DK, and something like 15 offenses that all look similar enough you could pull the names out of a hat. I am going to narrow my pool to a pretty small group of pitchers, knowing that it’s harder to shrink the offensive options to a manageable size. It feels like we’re living on borrowed time with this great early-season weather, but let’s enjoy it while it lasts and jump right into the analysis.
Monday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on FanDuel & DraftKings

We have another very tough pitching slate between a lack of aces, some tricky matchups, and small sample sizes. While I’ll call it a ‘top tier,’ we are really without a top tier tonight.
TOP-TIER PITCHING
- Edward Cabrera vs. Angels – 25.8% K, 8.3% BB, 3.53 ERA, 3.72 SIERA
- Ranger Suarez at Astros – 23.2% K, 5.8% BB, 3.20 ERA, 3.73 SIERA
- Luis Castillo vs. Yankees – 21.7% K, 6.2% BB, 3.54 ERA, 4.03 SIERA
- Roki Sasaki vs. Guardians – 36 career IP
- Clay Holmes at Cardinals – 18.2% K, 9.3% BB, 3.53 ERA, 4.43 SIERA
- Cody Ponce vs. Rockies – 1st MLB start since 2021
- Kyle Harrison vs. Rays – 24.4% K, 9% BB, 4.04 ERA, 3.97 SIERA
When including having enough sample size to matter, I would say that the three best pitchers on this slate are Ranger Suarez, Edward Cabrera, and Luis Castillo. That makes things tricky already, as with that group, we have a lefty against Houston, a pitcher facing a team with power in the Wrigley wind, and one facing the Yankees. None of those matchups are deal-breakers for aces, but these are barely aces, depending on your definition of the word.
If we didn’t have the wind blowing out at Wrigley, Edward Cabrera would be my clear SP1 against the Angels. He had by far the lowest walk rate of his career last season, and it was especially notable against righties, where he walked just 5.1% of batters to go along with a 27.4% K rate and 51% ground balls. The Angels likely use 6 righties against him, and it’s still one of the highest strikeout lineups in the league. I’d be concerned about the power even in a neutral park, but if he’s getting strikeouts, limiting walks, and keeping the ball on the ground, there’s only so much that can go wrong. I don’t love it, but looking at these numbers, he’s still my SP1 tonight.
Ranger Suarez is an excellent real-life pitcher, who is quite often DFS relevant depending on matchup, slate, and salary. This is sort of the right kind of slate and salary for him to be in play, but the issue here is that he’s merely an average strikeout pitcher to righties, at 21.2% last year, and facing a Houston team that should use 8 righties, only 3 of whom are high strikeout batters. He’s still completely playable, and I wouldn’t even argue with you if he were your SP1 on DK, but for me, I prefer Cabrera. I have almost no interest in Suarez on FD with the elevated salary.
I’m even more torn on…
