Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Tuesday 4/14

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to give you his musings on the April 14, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a better Monday night than Mr. Garrett Crochet. Goodness gracious, baseball really does baseball sometimes. We also saw a crazy ton of offense on last night’s slate, with 6 teams reaching double-digit runs. At first glance, tonight’s slate looks very different, as things shift back in favor of the pitchers. Let’s dig in and see what we can find.
Tuesday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

We have a fantastic pitching slate, with several aces who have started out this season in elite form. While there’s not a big salary gap, I’m going to draw my first line after the top five pitchers, who stand out a little from the rest of the slate.
TOP TIER PITCHING
- Kevin Gausman at Brewers – 25.6% K, 6.2% BB, 3.47 ERA, 3.59 SIERA
- Jacob Misiorowski vs. Blue Jays – 33.8% K, 11.8% BB, 4.15 ERA, 3.33 SIERA
- MacKenzie Gore at A’s – 28.3% K, 9.3% BB, 4.04 ERA, 3.64 SIERA
- Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. Mets – 28.6% K, 8.1% BB, 2.49 ERA, 3.34 SIERA
- Bryan Woo at Padres – 26.9% K, 5% BB, 2.81 ERA, 3.32 SIERA
Jacob Misiorowski and Kevin Gausman have both opened this season with strikeout rates over 40% through 3 starts, while MacKenzie Gore rounds up to 40% at 39.7%. Among those three, we also find the same control issues as last season from Misiorowski, while Gausman adds an elite 3.1% walk rate to his 40.6% strikeout rate. Of course, with all of these guys, it’s only 3 starts, and no one is going to be a 40% strikeout-rate pitcher, but I am bullish on all three of these guys at the moment.
Kevin Gausman is a little tricky because his 2 big starts were against the Rockies and A’s, while he came back to earth a bit against the Dodgers and still hasn’t reached 90 pitches this season. Sooner than later, his efficiency has to drop off, and he’s going to need a higher pitch count to maintain his ceiling. He’s changed his pitch mix slightly, but I don’t really see anything to suggest there could be much more realistic ceiling than his 31.1% K rate back in 2023. For now, I’m cautiously optimistic that he is going to be better than he was the last 2 seasons, but I’m also less optimistic about him keeping up his early-season form compared to these other two. With Christian Yelich hitting the IL, it’s a better matchup against Milwaukee but is still on the lower-strikeout side. I like him, but he’s only in 3rd place for me.
I don’t think the matchup is going to matter much for…
