Pitcher Grind Down
- Garrett Richards – This should be another battle between two elite American League pitchers. Richards owns a 2.74 ERA (3.23 xFIP) with a K/9 of 8.9. He’s pitched incredibly well on the road with a 2.14 ERA and gets to play in the pitcher-friendly Dodgers Stadium tonight. At his price point, I do think Kluber and Samardzija are better options, but he could make a nice contrarian GPP play. Rating = 6

- Zack Greinke – The only bad thing that I can say about Greinke is that he has a tough matchup against the Angels who are ranked 9th in wOBA vs. RH pitching and 1st in wOBA on the road. That said, great pitching tends to beat out good hitting and Greinke has been untouchable at home this season. He has a 2.52 ERA with a K/9 of 12.2 at Dodger Stadium this season. Rating = 7.5

LA Angels
Mike Trout – Trout is really the only Angels bat that I will have any exposure to tonight and he’ll likely only be used as a GPP play. That said, he has 3 multi-hit games in his last 4 and can score fantasy points in multiple ways with the potential to hit HR’s and steal bases.

Dee Gordon – Gordon got the day off yesterday, but should be back in the lineup tonight against Richards. Gordon’s fantasy production is directly tied to his stolen base potential and he has that tonight against Richards who has already given up 10 this season.
