Pitcher Grind Down
- Marco Estrada – Estrada has a 4.03 ERA on the season with a 1.12 WHIP and a K/9 of 8.3. Tonight he faces a Twins’ offense that is ranked 13th against RH pitching with a 22.5 K-percentage. The upside is there, but he’s a risky cash game play tonight. Rating = 5
Salaries: $7500 FD, $17422 DS, $15350 DD, $8800 DK, $101000 FF, $23200 SS, $13200 FTD
- Ricky Nolasco – Nolasco has fit right in with this Twins’ starting rotation as he has a 5.70 ERA with a 1.60 WHIP. He’s been a much better pitcher than this in past years, but until he shows that he can be more consistent, I will continue to avoid him in all leagues. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5300 FD, $11025 DS, $10250 DD, $6200 DK, $49400 FF, $13000 SS, $10300 FTD

Milwaukee
Jonathan Lucroy – Lucroy got a routine day off yesterday and should be back in the lineup tonight against the RHP Nolasco. Lucroy has a .359 wOBA against RH pitching this season and has nice upside if you are looking to spend at Catcher.
Additional Plays: Ryan Braun, Jean Segura
Minnesota
Josh Willingham – Estrada has given up a .330 wOBA to RHB’s this season and Willingham has been swinging a hot bat with 9 hits (4 HR’s) over his last 7 games.
Additional Plays: Joe Mauer, Brian Dozier

Pitcher Grind Down
- Josh Collmenter – We have another game in Coors Field tonight and I will once again be avoiding both starting pitchers. Collmenter has pitched well this season, but I will not be using him in the most hitter-friendly ballpark in baseball. Rating = 2
Salaries: $7000 FD, $10818 DS, $12100 DD, $7500 DK, $86800 FF, $18000 SS, $NA FTD
- Jordan Lyles – The same goes for Lyles. While he is having a nice bounceback season, I will not be targeting him tonight in Coors Field. The total of this game is set at 10.5 runs for a reason. Rating = 2
Salaries: $6700 FD, $14472 DS, $11850 DD, $7200 DK, $70600 FF, $17900 SS, $11000 FTD

Arizona
Paul Goldschmidt – It was a bit strange to see Goldschmidt get the night off against a LHP last night, but Goldy should be back in the lineup tonight. Goldy has a .371 wOBA against RH pitching this season and is the top 1B play on the board. Well I suppose Miguel Cabrera gives him a run for his money. They are 1-A and 1-B at first tonight.
Additional Plays: Aaron Hill, Miguel Montero, Martin Prado
Colorado
Troy Tulowitzki – Tulo came through last night with a HR in the bottom of the 9th inning. He continues to post video-game type numbers at home and I will continue to get him in as many of my lineups as possible. He’s easily the #1 SS tonight. As Dan Back would say, “if you are not playing this guy in your head to head matchups, you are just going to lose.”
Additional Plays: Charlie Blackmon, Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer, Wilin Rosario

Pitcher Grind Down
- John Danks – Danks is not a reliable pitcher. He is just as likely to throw a gem as he is to get blown up. On the season he has a 4.66 ERA with a 1.41 WHIP. Even though the Dodgers have struggled against LH pitching this season, I will not be using Danks. Rating = 4
Salaries: $5400 FD, $12465 DS, $12000 DD, $6800 DK, $56500 FF, $15600 SS, $10600 FTD
- Josh Beckett – This White Sox offense has seen a huge boost with Jose Abreu back in the lineup. He’s already hit 2 HR’s in his first 2 games back off of the DL. That said, Beckett has pitched very well at home this season and is one of the biggest favorites on the board tonight. I really like him on a site like FD that values the win so heavily. Rating = 7
Salaries: $7500 FD, $17004 DS, $15500 DD, $9600 DK, $104200 FF, $24200 SS, $13400 FTD
Batter Grind Down
Chicago White Sox
Jose Abreu – Abreu is looking to go 3/3 and hit a HR off of each of the Dodgers’ starters in this series. Abreu has a .400 wOBA against RH pitching this season and makes a terrific upside play.
Additional Plays: Alexei Ramirez
LA Dodgers
Hanley Ramirez – Han-Ram has a .387 wOBA against LH pitching this season and draws a terrific matchup against Danks who has given up a .345 wOBA to RHB’s this season. If you aren’t targeting Tulo tonight, Han-Ram is a decent pivot.
Additional Plays: Yasiel Puig, Adrian Gonzalez, Scott Van Slyke
