Arm To Trust
Clayton Kershaw vs. San Francisco Giants
Kershaw gets the slight nod for me here, but I will be blunt in that I do not feel good about it. Let’s get the bad news out of the way first so I don’t spend the whole blurb slamming the guy I ‘trust’.
The obvious place to start is the dip in strikeout rate, which is now all the way down to 24.2% after it was 29.8% in 2017 and 31.6% in 2016. It all culminated in his last start against Oakland in which he generating a whopping 4.1% SwStr% and 4.2% K%.
