Arms To Trust
Trevor Bauer at Minnesota Twins
At this point in the season, it is probably more fruitful to discuss whether we SHOULD play Bauer (because of huge price tags) as opposed to IF he is a good play. He has proven that he is the best and most consistent pitcher we have to choose from tonight; his slate-leading K% (31.6%), SIERA (3.14), and innings pitched (147.1) prove as much.
The matchup should work in his favor against a Twins team that doesn’t worry me much at all. Their overall season numbers say they are an average offense that doesn’t strike out that much and has a little pop. However, several contextual factors make me really like the matchup.
