- Matt Wilkinson Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
Logan Allen OVER 2.5 Strikeouts (-176, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSAllen should be poised to cover a minimum of 3 innings, if not work deeper into the game. That should give him plenty of opportunities to collect 3 strikeouts against a Detroit lineup that ranks 22nd in o-contact%, 15th in z-contact%, and 22nd in called strike% against southpaws during the last 30 days.
If Allen has a leash that is longer than expected, it only increases the likelihood that this play cashes.
Shane Drohan UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-110, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSDrohan hasn’t completed more than 5 innings since August 13. The Brewers appear to be carefully monitoring his workload down the stretch of the regular season due to Drohan having already significantly surpassed his previous career high for innings in a single calendar year.
Milwaukee’s arm barn is in good shape after using only one reliever on Thursday against the Cubs. Manager Pat Murphy isn’t likely to push Drohan into the 6th inning this evening unless his pitch count is extremely low through 5 frames.
Matt Wilkinson UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-159, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSWilkinson completed 6 innings in his most recent turn through the rotation against the Diamondbacks, but that start came in the pitcher-friendly confines of Oracle Park on a cold night in the Bay. Tonight, he will be on the road against the Mets – a tougher task.
Wilkinson hasn’t thrown more than 90 pitches or faced more than 22 batters in a big-league appearance this season. The Giants arm barn is in good shape after being lightly used on Thursday, which could lead to another short leash for Wilkinson in this spot.
