What kind of performances can we expect from Yusei Kikuchi and Justin Wrobleski? Monday’s MLB action began earlier this afternoon with the Astros against the Mariners, but there are still 9 games left on tap for this evening. Cristopher Sanchez, Paul Skenes, and Garrett Crochet are among the notable names who will be on the bump for their respective teams.
The MLB Weather report is finally showing some promise, with warmer temperatures across the country to begin the new week. Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, and St. Louis should also play friendly for hitters tonight.
Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Monday, April 13th!
Best MLB Player Props for Monday, April 13th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:10 PM ET on Monday, April 13th:
- Yusei Kikuchi Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
- Yusei Kikuchi Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
- Justin Wrobleski Over/Under 14.5 Outs Recorded
Yusei Kikuchi UNDER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+118, Novig)
The Yankees have been struggling offensively of late, and they have been particularly poor against southpaws early in 2026. Entering play on Monday, New York has the worst wRC+ in baseball against LHP – and the sample size (121 PA) isn’t that small.
The weather is on the hitter-friendly side this evening in The Bronx, but New York doesn’t have Ben Rice in the lineup. Consequently, the bottom half of this lineup doesn’t look overly impressive in any capacity. At plus money, this could be a worthwhile risk.
Yusei Kikuchi OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (+149, DraftKings)
There isn’t much data to support this play. The Yankees have struggled against southpaws early in 2026, but Kikuchi has been one of the league’s more inefficient starting pitchers.
That said, the Yankees are traveling from Tampa Bay to New York without the benefit of a day off. The Yankees are also missing their hottest bat, Ben Rice, from their starting lineup. At such a big plus-money price, this is simply tough to pass up.
Justin Wrobleski OVER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-186, FanDuel)
Wrobleski doesn’t have overpowering stuff, but it’s pretty clear that the Dodgers view him as a legitimate starting pitcher rather than an opener. Manager Dave Roberts has been adamant since the beginning of Spring Training that he’s not putting anyone in the rotation that isn’t stretched out to handle at least 5 innings.
Wrobleski threw 78 pitches last Monday against the Blue Jays, facing 21 batters. He should be good for at least 21 batters this evening against a weak-hitting Mets lineup that is missing some key pieces due to injury right now. The Dodgers used 4 relievers yesterday, and today would be the 3rd appearance in 4 days for some of their higher-leverage options, so it makes sense for Roberts to try to get Wrobleski through 5 frames.
