Major League Baseball has 10 evening games on tap to begin the new week, beginning with the Orioles against the Rays at 6:05pm ET. Shane McClanahan is scheduled to make his return from the injured list to start for Tampa Bay in that contest.

There is no extreme weather forecast across the league this evening, but it is on the warmer side in Colorado, which could be a slight boon for the offenses in the altitude. As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Monday, August 17th!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, August 17th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:05 PM ET on Monday, August 17th:

Jonathan Aranda OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-122, Novig)

On Sunday, Aranda went 0-for-4 at the dish. He hadn’t gone without a hit in consecutive games since July 23. He has a good opportunity to bounce back at the plate tonight facing Brandon Young, who has struggled to a 4.49 FIP and 15.6% strikeout rate across the platoon in 2026. Aranda hitting in the 2-hole also puts him directly behind Yandy Diaz and directly in front of Junior Caminero, the most advantageous spot in the order from a counting stats perspective.

Hunter Feduccia OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+108, Novig)

As of this writing, the Dodgers haven’t announced their lineup for tonight, but it’s highly likely that Feduccia will be in the 9-hole after Ben Rortvedt caught yesterday in the series finale against the Brewers.

Since being acquired by the Dodgers, Feduccia owns a respectable 107 wRC+ and .273 batting average. Perhaps most notable is his 8.7% strikeout rate and 96.2% in-zone contact rate, a skill set that should play well in the spacious confines of Coors Field. Feduccia is likely to slot ahead of Shohei Ohtani in this evening’s lineup too, which should afford him some good pitches to swing at and the potential to score a run if he gets on base in front of the top of the order. This is good value.

Kyle Tucker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-147, Novig)

Tucker just went 0-for-22 on the Dodgers’ homestand. The underlying metrics were nearly as bad as the box score numbers: 0% barrel rate, 20% hard-hit rate, 83.1 mph average exit velocity.

The good news for Tucker and the Dodgers is that they head back on the road beginning tonight. Tucker has a 131 wRC+ and .275 batting average on the road this season compared to a 60 wRC+ and .189 batting average at home.

Tucker draws a favorable matchup tonight, facing Tomoyuki Sugano, who has struggled to a 6.49 FIP against LHB in 2026. Lefties have a 15.1% barrel rate and are striking out in only 13.2% of their plate appearances against Sugano.

Playing in the altitude at Coors Field, there is value on Tucker to have a productive night at the dish.
