Happy Monday! Major League Baseball has 11 evening games on tap to begin the week, with a number of star pitchers scheduled to be on the bump, including Zack Wheeler, Chase Burns, Max Fried, and Payton Tolle.

As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. Hitters in Sacramento will enjoy 90-degree temperatures, with decent winds blowing out towards left-center field. It’s also warm in St. Louis and Cincinnati, but San Francisco continues to suffer through some cooler weather, which helps pitching more than hitting.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Monday, July 27th!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, July 27th

Here are my top player prop bets, with the first pitch tonight scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Monday, July 27th:

Kyle Manzardo OVER 0.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135, BetMGM)

Manzardo is hitting only .128 with a 13 wRC+ across his last 50 plate appearances, but the underlying metrics don’t look that bad. He still owns a 10.3% barrel rate in that span, which means he’s not completely lost at the plate. Chase Burns is an elite arm, but he isn’t immune to a bad outing, and he’s had his workload watched in recent weeks, which means Manzardo could get some more favorable matchups against Cincinnati’s arm barn.

Manzardo homered for us when we last bet on him on July 22nd. Let’s hope he continues to be good to us tonight!

Taylor Ward OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+104, DraftKings)

Ward is at his best against southpaws, but he’s still been plenty productive against RHP this season: .244 batting average, 110 wRC+. Ward has been seeing the ball well of late too, with only a 14.7% strikeout rate across his last 34 plate appearances. Keider Montero has only a 20.2% strikeout rate against righties this season, so Ward should be able to put some balls into play.

Max Fried UNDER 4.5 Hits Allowed (-173, DraftKings)

Instead of continuing his rehab work in the minor leagues, the Yankees opted to bring Fried to the big-league club for an abbreviated outing against the Pirates last week. Fried threw 57 pitches and faced 16 batters across 5 innings of work. Tonight, he will likely throw around 75 pitches as he continues to ramp back up to normal following injury.

If Fried was unrestricted in his workload, the under still might have value at this number. Given that he is unlikely to face more than 20 batters, there is tremendous value at this price.
