Happy Monday! Major League Baseball has 13 games on tap to begin the new week, with plenty of exciting matchups across the league. Brandon Woodruff is expected to make his long-awaited return from the injured list after missing nearly two months for the Brewers.

As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. There is potential inclement weather in some cities tonight, which could impact pitching props and the run-scoring environment in those games.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Monday, June 22nd!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, June 22nd

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:10 PM ET on Monday, June 22nd:

Brandon Woodruff OVER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-160, BetMGM)

Woodruff threw 82 pitches and faced 21 batters in his most recent rehab appearance in High-A for the Timber Rattlers. Thus, it stands to reason that Milwaukee would like to see him complete 5 innings if at all possible. There are obvious concerns related to his health and velocity, but Woodruff is a veteran arm who should be able to find outs against an underwhelming Cincinnati offense.

Brandon Woodruff UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-160, Caesars)

It’s not often that the betting market creates a healthy middle opportunity, but there is a non-zero chance this is a 5-and-dive spot for Woodruff. He is certainly built-up enough to get through 5 innings tonight if he’s reasonably effective on the bump. That said, it’s not unreasonable to think that Milwaukee will proceed cautiously with Woodruff, considering how much he elevates the team’s postseason ceiling if healthy. If Woodruff is near 80 pitches after 5 frames tonight, it’s possible we see him done after exactly 15 outs recorded.

Brandon Woodruff UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-140, DraftKings)

Add this pick with 1 click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Woodruff has a favorable matchup tonight against a strikeout-prone Cincinnati offense, but 6 strikeouts isn’t routine for any pitcher, let alone someone who hasn’t pitched above High-A since the end of April. Woodruff’s season high prior to hitting the injured list was 6 strikeouts. The math favors the under, even if this is psychologically a difficult wager to make.
