Major League Baseball has 11 games on tap for Monday, beginning at 1:05 PM ET with the Braves taking on the Phillies in an NL East clash.
It’s always important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. There doesn’t appear to be any extreme forecasts on the radar, but warm temperatures in Kansas City could offer a slight boost to bats.

Trevor Rogers OVER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-143, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSCleveland finds themselves in a difficult travel spot this afternoon, playing a day game in Baltimore after playing at home over the weekend. They are also coming off an emotional walk-off win in front of their home fans, so this could be a letdown spot for a few reasons.
Cleveland’s bats have struggled against southpaws lately, ranking 24th in wRC+ across the last 14 days. Baltimore has a rested arm barn heading into the new week, but Rogers routinely works deep into games. He should have every opportunity to get through 6 innings.
Jake Irvin UNDER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-136, FanDuel)
FANDUELIrvin has struggled to a 6.09 ERA, 5.33 xERA, 6.30 FIP, and 1.47 WHIP since rejoining the big-league club in late July. He has worked into the 6th inning in only 3 of his 7 starts during that stretch, and he has completed the 6th frame in only 2 of those starts.
The Padres don’t have great surface-level numbers against RHP in recent weeks, but they have the 6th-best hard-hit rate in that span. Their biggest problem of late has been an inability to sit on pitches out of the zone, but that problem should be mitigated somewhat against Irvin, who ranks in only the 3rd percentile in chase rate this season.
Washington has a fully rested arm barn heading into the new week too, which reduces the need to push Irvin deep into this game if he’s struggling.
Dylan Cease OVER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-163, Novig)
The Blue Jays have handily won each of Cease’s last 2 starts, which has allowed them to pull him after 92 pitches and 83 pitches to get him some additional rest. Prior to that, Cease had thrown at least 100 pitches in 4 consecutive starts and 11 of his last 12 starts.
The Athletics have been swinging the bat better against RHP in recent weeks, but this is still a lineup that is lacking high-end MLB talent in the bottom of their order. Cease should have a long leash and plenty of chances to record 18 outs in a favorable matchup.
