All 30 MLB teams are scheduled to be in action tonight as part of a 15-game slate.

Bettors finally have some more neutral MLB weather across the country too, with warmer temperatures on the east coast and in the midwest than what we have seen in recent weeks. The cold could still be a problem for hitters in Boston and New York, however. As always, be sure to keep an eye on temperature and wind before locking in any wagers!

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Tuesday, April 21st!

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, April 21st

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:10 PM ET on Tuesday, April 21st:

Parker Messick UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-151, Novig)

Messick has recorded 5+ strikeouts in each of his first 4 turns through the rotation this season, but this will be his toughest matchup to date. Entering play, Houston owns the 5th-lowest strikeout% against southpaws in 2026 while ranking 4th in wRC+.

Notably, Messick is also coming off of a career-high 112 pitches in his most recent outing. His previous career-high at the MLB level was 98 pitches. The presence of Brice Matthews and Dustin Harris at the bottom of Houston’s lineup this evening represents a small risk, but there is still more downside than upside for Messick.

Reynaldo Lopez UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-141, Novig)

Lopez had 7 strikeouts against the Angels on April 7 and 6 strikeouts against the Marlins in his most recent turn through the rotation, but he allowed an 89.8% contact rate in the zone in those outings. His 8.5% swinging-strike rate in those starts is well below the league average.

Other than James Wood in the leadoff spot, Washington’s lineup doesn’t have many guys who swing and miss. Lopez, who has historically been worse across the platoon, will have 8 LHB to contend with tonight as well.

Lopez’s fastball velocity was down in his most recent outing. There are reasons to like the under on his strikeouts.

Kyle Tucker OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-124, DraftKings)

Landen Roupp struggled to a 4.27 FIP and 1.53 WHIP across the platoon in 2025. He’s been throwing fewer sinkers against LHB early in 2026, but that’s still his primary offering, so it stands to reason that he will continue to struggle in that regard over a larger sample size despite what looks like strong numbers early on.

Tucker is one of the best hitters in baseball, combining a discerning eye with good base-running ability and the potential for quality contact in the air. Even in a pitcher-friendly venue, he’s a decent bet to make a positive impact at the dish.
