As always, it’s important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. There are some windy conditions in many ballparks today, which could have a significant impact on the run-scoring environment around the league. There are also some cooler temperatures forecast in San Francisco for later this evening.
Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Tuesday, June 23rd!
Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, June 23rd
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Tuesday, June 23rd:
- Edouard Julien Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Francisco Alvarez Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Pavin Smith Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Edouard Julien OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+130, BetMGM)
Julien has been unplayable against southpaws in 2026, but his numbers against RHP are much more palatable: A 73 wRC+ and a 12.1% walk rate. Sonny Gray has struggled to a 5.46 FIP and 1.71 WHIP when facing LHB on the road this season. He’s not missing many bats, which could be even more problematic in the spacious confines of Coors Field, where BABIP consistently runs higher than the league average. This is decent value for Julien in a good matchup.
Francisco Alvarez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+135, BetMGM)
Alvarez doesn’t have eye-popping numbers in 2026, at least not on the surface. Nevertheless, the underlying metrics have looked really good for Alvarez since he returned to the lineup earlier this month. Since June 9, he owns an impressive 12.0% barrel rate and 48.0% hard-hit rate. Alvarez has a tendency to chase a lot of bad pitches, but he’s capable of doing some damage if he gets an offering in the zone.
Pavin Smith OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+135, BetMGM)
Smith hasn’t been tremendously productive in June, but he’s been drawing a lot of walks, which gives him a little bit of betting value tonight at the price. Kyle Leahy has walked 10.3% of the LHB he has faced in 2026, struggling to a 4.92 FIP and 1.85 WHIP overall across the platoon. Smith should be able to find his way on base tonight, either via walk or a base knock. This is good value in a good matchup.
