Wednesday’s MLB slate features 9 evening games, all with a first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET or later. Thus, even if baseball fans missed the afternoon action while at work, there are still plenty of betting opportunities left on the board!

As always, make sure to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. The weather is on the hitter-friendly side in many areas of the country, with temperatures forecast above 80 degrees in Baltimore, Boston, New York, and Kansas City.

Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Wednesday, May 27th!

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, May 27th

Here are my top player prop bets for tonight, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Wednesday, May 27th:

Gerrit Cole OVER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (+120, Hard Rock Bet)

Cole blanked the Rays across 6 innings in his return to the MLB mound last week, but his peripherals didn’t look great in that outing. He didn’t allow much hard contact, but neither did he miss many bats – 5.6% swinging strike rate, 91.7% in-zone contact% allowed.

It will be on the warmer side in Kansas City tonight, which is a major boon to the bats. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Royals find some offensive success in this spot.

Mike Burrows OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-104, FanDuel)

Bettors should wait for a lineup here, if possible, but the over could have some value if Texas continues to fill their lineup with a healthy number of righties. Most games, we see the Rangers with at least 5 righties in their lineup. Burrows has a 23.9% strikeout rate against righties this season, compared to a 15.8% strikeout rate across the platoon. At plus money, this could be a worthwhile risk.

Pete Alonso OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-140, BetMGM)

Steven Matz has struggled across the platoon this season, entering play with a 5.11 FIP and 1.21 WHIP against righties. Alonso has apparently been seeing the ball well of late, with a 124 wRC+ and a strikeout rate below 20% across his last 49 plate appearances. The weather is also on the warmer side in Baltimore this evening, which could lead to some additional RBI opportunities for Alonso.
