Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Wednesday, September 16th:

- Xzavion Curry Over/Under 3.5 Hits Allowed
- Daniel Lynch Over/Under 5.5 Hits Allowed
Blake Snell OVER 16.5 Outs Recorded (-132, FanDuel)
FANDUELSnell was pulled after 17 outs in his last turn through the rotation, but manager Dave Roberts gave him every chance to complete 6 innings. Miami put together a couple of longer at-bats against him in the 6th inning and a base hit with 2 outs forced Roberts to go to his bullpen.
The fact remains that Roberts has consistently given his starting pitchers long leashes in 2026. Expect that to be the case again on Wednesday with Snell taking on the Reds.
Xzavion Curry OVER 3.5 Hits Allowed (-147, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSCurry has thrown up to 5 innings and faced as many as 20 batters during the last month, splitting time between the minor leagues and big leagues. He last appeared in a game on September 8th, which means he’s rested ahead of his start tonight against the Orioles.
New York has used Kodai Senga, Nathan Lavender, Austin Warren, and Jonathan Pintaro each twice in the last three days, which means Curry is likely to have a long leash on Wednesday – for better or worse.
Curry is a hittable pitcher who has never been able to consistently miss bats at the MLB level. Baltimore doesn’t have an overpowering offense, but 4 hits in 4 or 5 innings against a pitcher of Curry’s caliber is not an overly difficult task.
Daniel Lynch UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed (-165, bet365)
BET365During the last 30 days, Houston’s offense ranks 20th in batting average against LHP, hitting only .229. Lynch has only faced more than 21 batters once since the team reinserted him into the rotation.
If Lynch were to allow 6 hits to 21 batters faced, that would be a .286 batting average, not including any walks or hit-by-pitches that occur.
The math strongly favors the under.
