Happy Memorial Day! There are 5 games on tap for tonight’s MLB evening slate, giving baseball fans plenty of entertainment options after their afternoon barbecues and family get-togethers.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Monday, May 26th!

Best MLB Player Props for Monday, May 26th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch this evening scheduled for 6:10 PM ET on Monday, May 26th:

Yoshinobu Yamamoto UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (+142, FanDuel)

Last week, Yamamoto threw 110 pitches against the Diamondbacks, which set a new career high for pitches in an MLB outing. Tonight, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dodgers be a little bit more mindful of his workload. In his previous 3 starts, Yamamoto threw 88 pitches, 88 pitches, and 91 pitches. Cleveland is an aggressive offense, but they don’t make a lot of contact on pitches in the zone, which means they find themselves in a fair amount of deep counts. Yamamoto is averaging an inefficient 4.1 pitches per batter faced across the last 30 days as well. There is value on the under here.

Manny Machado OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-150, BetMGM)

Opposing pitcher Ryan Weathers had been dynamite since returning from the injured list, but he is still going to have his work cut out for him against Machado. This season, Machado owns a 208 wRC+ and is hitting .360 against LHP. Occupying the #3 spot in the batting order, Machado should have his chances to knock in a run or have someone drive him home.

Corbin Carroll OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145, DraftKings)

Send this pick directly to your slip!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Carroll is less productive against LHP than he is when he has a platoon advantage, but he’s still a tough matchup for any pitcher in any situation. This season, Carroll owns a 120 wRC+ and is hitting .271 against LHP. This evening, he gets to face Andrew Heaney, who has struggled to a 4.40 FIP and 1.24 WHIP against lefties. Behind him, Pittsburgh’s arm barn isn’t in great shape, having used most of their available arms twice in the last three days. Carroll should have some opportunities to make a positive impact offensively.
