MLB Player Props Today

Freddie Freeman o1.5 Total Bases (+100), DraftKings

Prior to being demoted near the end of May, Grayson Rodriguez had an 8.60 FIP, 2.09 WHIP, and had allowed a .329 opponent batting average to left-handed hitters in 2023. Tonight, he will have to contend with Freddie Freeman, who is arguably the most talented left-handed hitter in all of baseball. Freeman enters play with a .319 batting average, .911 OPS, and a 147 wRC+ against right-handed pitching this year. At even money, this is incredible value in the player prop market.

Brandon Williamson u4.5 Strikeouts (-152), FanDuel

Entering play on Monday, Brandon Williamson has eclipsed this market number in only four of his 10 turns through the rotation. He gets a deceptively difficult matchup tonight against the San Francisco Giants, which have the 7th-lowest strikeout percentage against southpaws since June 15. According to props.cash, none of the last five left-handed starting pitchers to have faced the Giants have hit the over on their strikeout prop. We will gladly take the under once again in this spot.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Luis Matos less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

Luis Matos has 27 plate appearances against left-handed pitching since being called up to the big leagues. He has struck out only once in that small sample size while posting a .381 batting average, .881 OPS, and a 159 wRC+. Brandon Williamson has struck out only 17.8% of the right-handed batters he has faced this season, while posting a 5.86 FIP and a 1.35 WHIP across the platoon. Trust Matos to put the ball in play each time he steps in the box tonight against Williamson. We will take our chances with Matos in the late innings against the Cincinnati Reds bullpen.
