MLB Player Props Today

Gavin Williams u16.5 Outs Recorded (-150), BetMGM

Gavin Williams was outstanding in his most recent start against the Kansas City Royals, tossing seven innings of scoreless baseball while allowing only two baserunners. The one caveat from that performance is that it came against one of the least productive offenses in Major League Baseball. On Monday, Williams will have a much tougher test against the Atlanta Braves, which rank 1st in OPS, 1st in ISO, 9th in BB%, and have struck out fewer than any team in baseball against right-handed pitching since the beginning of June. Williams had command issues at nearly every stop during his minor league journey – if he falls behind in counts tonight, there is little doubt that Atlanta will make him pay.

Carlos Correa u1.5 Total Bases (-120), BetMGM

Simply, Carlos Correa has been abysmal against southpaws in 2023. Entering play on Monday, Correa owns a .206 batting average, .651 OPS, and an 84 wRC+ against left-handed pitching this season. This evening, Correa will have to contend with Austin Cox, who has held opposing right-handed hitters to a .094 batting average in the big leagues since being called up, in an admittedly small sample size. Correa has been mostly unimpressive this year – expect that to continue tonight.

MLB DFS Pick’em

Mike Trout less than 1.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks

Mike Trout has seen his production fall dramatically in 2023, which includes a 28.6% strikeout rate against left-handed pitching. Still, Trout is surely better than what we have seen the last two days in terms of contact, during which he has been punched out six times in eight plate appearances. Trout has far too much talent to keep swinging and missing at such a high rate for any extended period of time. Positive regression is in store sooner rather than later, possibly as soon as tonight.
