Happy Thursday! A lot of MLB teams are traveling today, leaving fans and bettors with a light 7-game slate. That being said, there are still plenty of betting opportunities on the board, beginning at 1:10 p.m. ET with a pair of games on the East Coast. There are 3 games with a scheduled first pitch of 6:35 p.m. ET or later, as well, giving everyone a chance to get in on the action, even if they have a busy day at work.
Since the beginning of last year, we are 143-75 (65.6%) +32.51u on pitcher prop recommendations in this article during the regular season. A bettor who has tailed every player prop, including batter props, in this article during that time period is +47.65u overall.

MLB Player Props Today
Cody Bradford Over/Under 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed
Cody Bradford Over/Under 1.5 Walks Allowed
Jack Flaherty Over/Under 18.5 Outs Recorded
Cody Bradford UNDER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-125), DraftKings
Since being recalled from the minor leagues, Cody Bradford has been operating on a very tight leash for the Rangers. He has yet to face more than 20 batters in a single game. The net result has been that Bradford has pitched 5 innings or fewer in each of his last three appearances. Fewer batters faced obviously means fewer chances to allow runs.
The Twins offense has really struggled with southpaws of late as well, ranking 25th in OPS during the last month. Having to travel from Minnesota to Texas without the benefit of an off day isn’t likely to help these bats figure things out on Thursday. Bradford is positioned to keep the damage to a minimum in this spot.
Cody Bradford UNDER 1.5 Walks Allowed (-165), BetMGM
Similar to the logic on the above play, Cody Bradford simply hasn’t been going deep into games. He threw 92 pitches against the Yankees this past Saturday, but that represented a significant jump from his 59 pitches in the start prior. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him capped around 90 pitches or 5 innings once again. Bradford has been throwing a fair amount of first-pitch strikes, which should afford him ample opportunity to avoid walks in this matchup against a Minnesota offense that walks less frequently than the league average against southpaws.
Jack Flaherty UNDER 18.5 Outs Recorded (-186), Bally
Jack Flaherty has a tough matchup against a Milwaukee offense that ranks 3rd in OPS and 4th in wRC+ against RHP during August. The Brewers have also been an extremely patient team in recent weeks, with the 2nd-lowest swing% of any team in the big leagues – meaning that they are seeing a lot of pitches. This season, only the Mariners and Rays are averaging more pitches per plate appearance than Milwaukee.
Flaherty hasn’t pitched into the 7th inning in any of his last 9 outings, and today doesn’t appear to be a good day to break that streak. Even having a pitcher-friendly umpire calling balls and strikes for him is unlikely to be enough to spoil this wager.
