MLB Player Props for Thursday, 6/19: Best Bets & Predictions Today
What kind of performances can we expect on Thursday from Yandy Diaz, Teoscar Hernandez, and Mookie Betts? Follow along as our MLB betting analyst, Nick Galaida, breaks down three of his favorite MLB prop bets for Thursday, June 19th. Thursday’s MLB slate featured 16 games, including a pair of doubleheaders. The action began earlier this afternoon, but there are still 7 games left to get underway as of this writing, meaning plenty of player props for the betting community to consider for their evening entertainment.
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, June 19th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:40 PM ET on Thursday, June 19th:
- Yandy Diaz Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Teoscar Hernandez Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Mookie Betts Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Yandy Diaz OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135, bet365)

This season,Diaz has been at his best against right-handed pitching, hitting .290 with a 118 wRC+. Tonight, he gets to face Charlie Morton, who has been better of late, but still represents a hittable option on the bump. Importantly, Diaz is slotted into the 3-hole in the lineup this evening, which means he’s sandwiched directly between Brandon Lowe and Jonathan Aranda, both of whom have mashed right-handed pitching in 2025. Diaz has good value at this price.
Teoscar Hernandez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-135, bet365)

In 3 starts to begin June, Ryan Bergert owns a 2.93 ERA, but a 4.50 FIP portends some negative regression. In those 3 outings, Bergert has walked 13.1% of the batters who he has faced, but he’s benefited from a likely unsustainable .216 BABIP and 85.5% strand rate during that span, which has helped keep his surface-level numbers looking good for the time being. Bergert has struggled in particular against right-handed batters this year, posting a 6.38 FIP and 1.34 WHIP. Hernandez, hitting behind some of the most talented players in all of baseball, should be in a good spot to have a productive night at the plate.
Mookie Betts OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-155, BetMGM)

Betts hasn’t recorded a hit either of the last two nights, but he’s positioned for a bounce-back effort this evening against Ryan Bergert. Bergert, who is heavily reliant on a mediocre 4-seam fastball against right-handed batters, doesn’t have a great way to approach those same-sided matchups. He likes to work backwards, starting with a slider in 0-0 counts, but showing that offering early in counts means that it’s less likely to miss bats later in the sequence. Hitting in the 2-hole on Thursday, Betts should have opportunities to collect counting stats in a favorable matchup.
