Happy Tuesday! Major League Baseball has 15 games on tap this evening, beginning at 6:35 p.m. ET with an AL East clash between the Red Sox and Orioles.
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, August 26
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, August 26th:
- Giancarlo Stanton Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Cody Bellinger Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Anthony Volpe Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Giancarlo Stanton OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-115, BetMGM)

Stanton is a terrifying human being to see in the batter’s box, but even more so for LHP. In Stanton’s career, he owns a .278 batting average and 155 wRC+ against southpaws. He’s been even better in 2025, with a .297 batting average and 168 wRC+ in those matchups. Good luck, MacKenzie Gore.
Cody Bellinger OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-120, BetMGM)

Bellinger is a lefty, but he actually has strong numbers against southpaws this season, including a .355 batting average and 174 wRC+. Additionally, he rarely strikes out (8.3% strikeout rate) in these same-sided matchups, which means we should get a few balls in play from him. Since the All-Star Break, MacKenzie Gore has struggled to a 1.83 WHIP and has allowed a .344 opponent batting average to left-handed hitters. This is great value.
Anthony Volpe OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+115, BetMGM)

Overall, there isn’t much impressive about Volpe’s 2025 numbers. However, most of his offensive struggles have come against RHP, hitting .184 with a 73 wRC+. Facing southpaws, he’s been significantly more competent with the bat, hitting .270 with a 118 wRC+. Tonight, he gets to face MacKenzie Gore, who owns a 7.88 ERA, 6.24 FIP, and 1.88 WHIP since the All-Star Break. Volpe could have a nice night at the dish.
