Happy Tuesday! All 30 MLB teams are back in action today as part of a full, 15-game evening slate. First pitch tonight is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. ET in Baltimore, giving the betting community plenty of time to find a few plays to their liking.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Tuesday, July 8th!

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, July 8

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, July 8th:

Brayan Bello UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (+135, DraftKings)

Bello has put together some strong outings since the beginning of June, but he’s still not been terribly efficient. There is also some evidence to suggest that Bello has been slightly on the lucky side of late, outperforming his 3.97 FIP by a full run across his last 6 outings. He’s benefited from a likely unsustainable .248 BABIP in that span. Bello doesn’t miss many bats, nor does he overpower many hitters. Even in a favorable matchup, this is good value given that Boston’s arm barn is rested and that Bello could be due for a little bit of negative regression.

Eury Perez UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-175, bet365)

Perez completed 6 innings in his most recent start against the Twins, but it’s worth noting that he still only threw 80 pitches and only faced 21 batters in that outing. He was both unusually effective and unusually efficient, allowing only 2 baserunners on the afternoon. Today, he has a tougher matchup, going on the road to face the Reds in one of the more hitter-friendly venues in the league. The Marlins also had very minimal bullpen usage yesterday, so their relief options behind Perez are mostly rested and available. Perez is likely a 5-and-dive guy tonight if Cincinnati is able to manage even a modest number of baserunners against him.

Didier Fuentes UNDER 14.5 Outs Recorded (+145, DraftKings)

Add this pick with one click!PLACE THIS BET ONDRAFTKINGS

Fuentes was stretched out to 92 pitches in his most recent start, but he still failed to complete the 4th inning. This season, he’s averaging a terribly inefficient 4.36 pitches per batter faced, which has contributed to his inability to work deep into games. Fuentes has also struggled with run prevention, entering play on Tuesday with a disastrous 9.00 ERA, 5.92 FIP, and 1.83 WHIP. Tonight, he has the added difficulty of pitching in one of the league’s most hitter-friendly venues. Atlanta had a scheduled off day yesterday as well, which means their arm barn is in good shape behind Fuentes. There is good value on the under at this price.
