Happy Wednesday! Today’s MLB action began earlier this afternoon with a number of day games, but there is still plenty of entertainment left for this evening, with 8 contests still yet to get underway. Of course, that means plenty of betting opportunities still on the board as well!
As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.
Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.
Below, you can find my 3 picks for Wednesday, August 13th!

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, August 13
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Wednesday, August 13th:
- Julio Rodriguez Over/Under 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Jose Ramirez Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Zach Neto Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Julio Rodriguez OVER 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+120, BetMGM)

Rodriguez has been on a tear since the All-Star Break, hitting .273 with 9 home runs and a 145 wRC+. Tonight, he gets to face Trevor Rogers, who has allowed more fly balls and more hard contact to right-handed hitters than left-handed hitters. Rodriguez, hitting behind MVP front-runner Cal Raleigh and ahead of prized trade deadline acquisitions Eugenio Suarez and Josh Naylor, is positioned to accrue some counting stats.
Jose Ramirez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145, Caesars)

Ramirez has been crushing RHP since the beginning of July, hitting 10 home runs and posting a 163 wRC+ across 111 plate appearances. He will get to face Eury Perez, who has struggled to a 4.13 FIP against left-handed hitters in 2025. Perez has been particularly poor with his command and isn’t generating many swings-and-misses across the platoon. Ramirez should be able to find his way on base, and he has the scorching-hot Kyle Manzardo hitting behind him, capable of driving him home. There are a number of different ways in which this bet could cash.
Zach Neto OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105, BetMGM)

Neto has been hot of late, with a 141 wRC+ during the month of August. During that span, his contact-quality metrics are off of the charts, with a 16.1% barrel rate and 54.8% hard-hit rate. He gets a tough matchup to begin tonight’s contest against Shohei Ohtani, but the Dodgers’ bullpen behind him is quite taxed. That means Neto should get 2 at-bats against far more hittable arms in this contest, giving this line some value.
