Happy Wednesday! Major League Baseball had 1 afternoon affair on the schedule for today, but the rest of the 15-game slate won’t begin until 6:40 p.m. ET. Of course, this means that the betting community has plenty of time to do their research and find a play or two to their liking before the majority of the action gets underway.

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Wednesday, June 18th!

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, June 18th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Wednesday, June 18th:

Ryan Yarbrough OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+100, DraftKings)

Yarbrough only managed 3 strikeouts in each of his last 2 outings, but it’s worth noting that both of those starts came against the Red Sox, an offense that has done a pretty good job putting the ball in play against southpaws of late. Prior to that start, Yarbrough had tallied 5+ strikeouts in 3 consecutive trips to the bump, facing the Dodgers, Angels, and Rangers. Entering play on Wednesday, Yarbrough has posted a double-digit swinging-strike rate in each of his last 5 starts. Tonight, he gets to face an Angels offense that has struck out at the 2nd-highest rate in baseball against southpaws during the last 14 days. Yarbrough should have plenty of chances to earn some strikeouts.

Trevor Rogers UNDER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-125, DraftKings)

Rogers pitched well in his 2025 debut, holding the Red Sox scoreless across 6.1 innings of work, facing 22 batters. Tonight, he gets to face a Tampa Bay offense that has been underwhelming against southpaws of late, posting a 96 wRC+ in such matchups across the last 14 days. Rogers has shown good command in the minor leagues and at the MLB level so far this season. If he can limit free passes this evening, he should have a good chance to keep the damage done against him to a minimum.

Taj Bradley UNDER 2.5 Earned Runs Allowed (-135, DraftKings)

Bradley had his worst outing of the season on June 7, allowing 7 earned runs against the Marlins, but that’s 1 of only 2 instances in his last 9 starts in which he’s allowed 3+ earned runs. Even counting his poor start against the Marlins, Bradley owns a respectable 3.54 ERA, 3.71 FIP, and 1.18 WHIP across his last 5 turns in the rotation. He’s missing bats and doing a good job avoiding barrels during that stretch. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him continue to pitch well this evening against a Baltimore offense that has been inconsistent against right-handed pitching.
