Wednesday’s 15-game MLB slate began earlier this afternoon, but there are still 11 games left to get underway as of this writing. Of course, that means plenty of opportunities still available on the betting market as well!

As always, be sure to monitor our MLB starting lineups page throughout the day, as unexpected changes in the batting order can result in value opportunities in the betting and DFS markets.

Another reminder – it’s not a bad beat, or unlucky, if you bet a player to hit a home run and his fly ball dies on the warning track because it’s 40 degrees with the wind blowing in! Before locking in any bets, use our MLB weather page, curated by Chief Meteorologist, Kevin Roth. There are countless edges to be found if we make the right reads on possible rain delays and great hitting weather, just to name a few. Taking a look at the weather report can save us from a bad bet that otherwise looks good on the surface.

Below, you can find my 3 picks for Wednesday, September 10th!

Best MLB Player Props for Wednesday, September 10

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Wednesday, September 10th:

Logan Allen UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-120, bet365)

This is a really good matchup for Allen facing an aggressive Kansas City offense that has struggled to generate much run production against southpaws in recent weeks. That being said, Allen still isn’t someone who reliably gets deep into games.

During the last 30 days, Allen is averaging an inefficient 4.03 pitches per batter faced, running a double-digit BB% in that span. He hasn’t been missing many bats, nor has he done a good job suppressing hard contact.

Cleveland’s arm barn is mostly fresh behind him this evening. Given that the Guardians are 2.5 games out of the last Wild Card spot entering action on Wednesday, it stands to reason that manager Stephen Vogt will be aggressive with his relief unit if needed here. Any traffic at all in the 6th inning could be enough to send Allen to an early shower.

Freddie Freeman OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-141, Caesars)

In 2025, Freeman has actually been slightly better against LHP than RHP. Ahead of first pitch on Wednesday, Freeman owns a .298 batting average and 143 wRC+ against southpaws. Freeman has been seeing the ball extremely well of late, hitting .288 with a 154 wRC+ since the beginning of August.

Kyle Freeland had a strong outing in his most recent turn through the rotation, but we have seen enough from Freeland to know that those starts are few and far between. Freeman is positioned to have a strong day at the dish facing an inferior starting pitcher.

Teoscar Hernandez OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-142, DraftKings)

Hernandez hasn’t had a season for the ages, but he’s still been plenty productive against southpaws. Entering play on Wednesday, he owns a .278 batting average and 133 wRC+ against LHP.

Tonight, Hernandez will get to face Kyle Freeland, who has struggled to a 4.63 ERA, 4.43 FIP, and 1.29 WHIP since the beginning of August. Overall this year, Freeland owns a 4.81 FIP and 1.50 WHIP against right-handed hitters.

Hernandez should have opportunities to make a positive impact with his bat in tonight’s game.
