Saturday’s 15-game MLB slate began earlier this afternoon in Philadelphia, but there is plenty of action left to get underway for those bettors who were away from their phone earlier in the day.

Not counting the All-Star Game, we have cashed five tickets in this article, narrowly missed 13 winners, and had 12 tickets seemingly dead on arrival. Playing longshot parlays each day, these results are within the parameters of what is expected.

In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 49-40-1 (56.3%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

Below, we break down our favorite longshot (+944) look for July 15, focusing on today’s matchup between the New York Yankees and Colorado Rockies!

MLB Parlay Piece for July 15, 2023

New York Yankees Moneyline (-160)

Last night, the New York Yankees were blown out, losing 7-2 in their first action of the second half of the season. Tonight, they have a more reliable starting pitcher on the hill with Clarke Schmidt, who has made 18 starts this year. Facing Connor Seabold, who has struggled against right- and left-handed batters this year, the New York offense should be able to do enough to win in this spot.

Ryan McMahon 3+ Total Bases (+300)

Ryan McMahon has been much better against right-handed pitching than he has been against left-handed pitching this season. Facing righties, he owns a .272 batting average and an .863 OPS. He has a favorable matchup tonight against Clarke Schmidt, who has struggled to a 5.18 FIP and allowed a .301 opponent batting average to left-handed batters in 2023. Expect McMahon to have a productive day at the plate.

Connor Seabold 3+ Strikeouts (-165)

Connor Seabold is far from an elite strikeout pitcher, but he has still managed to record at least three punchouts in 13 of his 19 turns through the rotation this year. This evening, he gets to face a New York offense that has struck out in over 20% of their plate appearances during the month of July against right-handed hurlers. Including this alt-line in today’s longshot parlay is worthwhile.
