MMA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for UFC 326 – Holloway vs. Oliveira 2
Who is your favorite fighter to spend up for in cash games?
Moneyball16: Donte Johnson
Bward586: Donte Johnson
LiamPicksFights: Donte Johnson
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Moneyball16: Large-field tournaments – Outside of Cody Durden, my three favorite underdogs are priced in the $7,200-$7,400 range: Diyar Nurgozhay, Rodolfo Bellato, and Charles Oliveira. The fighters cheaper than them are in fights I expect to be low-event or are just fighters with very little win equity. All three of them have similar odds to win as fighters more expensive than them, and they have both some grappling upside and early-win upside.
Bward586: Large-field tournaments – There are a ton of underdogs I love (e.g. Nurgozhay, Ferreira, RDR, Oliveira) and only a few expensive fighters I like. I’ll have a ton of lineups around the core of Fernandez, Donte Johnson, a pair of underdogs, a fighter from the main event, and one from the Johnson/Dober fight.
LiamPicksFights: Large-field tournaments – I like the idea of building around leverage underdogs like Bruno Ferreira at a $7,600 salary and around 18% projected ownership (vs. Robocop at around 37% projected ownership) and/or Ricky Turcios at a $7,700 salary and around 14% projected ownership (vs. Montes at around 30% projected ownership). I think nearly all of your lineups need at least one piece of the main event, and I prefer the Holloway side, as he is the fighter more likely to score well, win or lose. I like Johnson and Fernandez the most among the remaining spend-up options.
What is your hot take for this event?
