Who is your favorite play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

h3budda: Grad – You are getting a hard-hitting, well-rounded fighter at only $8,300. He looks to have good volume striking combined with opportunistic grappling (which equals massive fantasy upside). I really like the ceiling for him in this spot because Alexander just got knocked out last fight. This is a bit off the wall because Grad will close as an underdog, but I really like this spot for upside.

Moneyball16: McKinney – He is an absurd -122 to win in the 1st round, and even if the fight goes on longer, McKinney has takedown upside. He is likely going to be the highest-owned fighter on the slate, but very much for good reason.

Bward586: Oliveira – He’s an explosive striker with 2 knockouts in his 3 UFC-affiliated fights (including the Contender Series), including one of the best finishes of 2024 against Bernardo Sopaj. He’s facing Said Nurmagomedov, who’s typically overvalued based on his last name, despite not being related to or training with Khabib and company. On top of that, the line movement has swung pretty heavily towards Oliveira this week, so he’s also a strong value at his $7,500 price point.

LiamPicksFights: Davis – Davis wouldn’t be my favorite moneyline bet this weekend, but his fantasy upside is hard to ignore. Since dropping his UFC debut on short notice against Gilbert Burns, Davis has put up 90+ points in every UFC appearance. At $8,400, he would just need to match his trend to overperform expectations. 2 of his last 4 fights resulted in 123+ points. If he can grapple Ziam, he makes the optimal.

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
