Monday, January 25th - FanDuel Single Game Analysis: DEN @ DAL
Is your main slate lineup looking rough? Or did you not get off work in time to make one? Or just looking for a little more action? Don’t worry, FanDuel has you covered with their Single Game format. Monday night’s marquee game is Toronto @ Portland starting at 10 PM ET. You can make a lineup with players from just this game. Below are some options for players to use in the MVP slot and other cheap options that will allow you to fit in the big dogs.
Top MVP Options
Nikola Jokic ($16,000) – Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic are easily the top fantasy options from this game and should be in your MVP and STAR slots. RotoGrinders currently has Jokic (55.02) projected for just ~1 more FanDuel point than Doncic (53.9) and is a slight favorite to be the highest-scoring player in the game. If playing multiple lineups, it could be smart to alternate Jokic and Doncic between the MVP and STAR slots while keeping the rest of your lineup the same.
Luka Doncic ($15,500) – Luka’s season has been filled with a few more “down” games than we have grown accustomed to but the young Slovenian still knows how to fill up a stat sheet when he gets going. Doncic has three games of over 77 FanDuel points this season which is simply unheard of. While Jokic has been the more consistent performer this year, Luka has shown a slightly higher upside. After Jokic and Doncic, the next player in line is Kristaps Porzingis who projects for ~16 fewer FanDuel points. In other words, do whatever you can to get the two studs into your MVP and STAR slots.
Top Value Options
Jalen Brunson ($8,500) – Monday’s matchup is a star-studded affair and you’re going to want to do what you can to get both superstars into your lineup. Jalen Brunson can help with that as he’s just $8,500 despite averaging 24.83 FanDuel points and 31.7 minutes over the last three games. Josh Richardson and Dorian Finney-Smith remain out due to health and safety protocols which means Brunson’s starting role should remain solidified.
Gary Harris ($8,000) – A fairly poor fantasy producer, Harris continues to see heavy minutes in competitive games. While Harris is unlikely to pop off for 30+ FanDuel points, we know he’ll be on the court for the Nuggets which is all we can really ask for in this price range. Harris’ teammate, Paul Millsap, is a fine alternative at the same price but will likely only see ~20 minutes of action.
