Monday, March 22nd - FanDuel Single Game Analysis: ATL @ LAC
Is your main slate lineup looking rough? Or did you not get off work in time to make one? Or just looking for a little more action? Don’t worry, FanDuel has you covered with their Single Game format. Monday night’s marquee game is LAL @ GS starting at 10:00 PM ET. You can make a lineup with players from just this game. Below are some options for players to use in the MVP slot and other cheap options that will allow you to fit in the big dogs.
Top MVP Options
Kawhi Leonard ($15,500) – This slate is likely to be decided on how you fill out your MVP, STAR, and PRO slots as there are four players (Kawhi, Trae Young, Paul George, and Clint Capela) who could legitimately end up being the highest-scoring player in the game. Typically there are only 1-2 realistic options but all four of these players have shown 60+ FanDuel point upside multiple times this season. Current RotoGrinders projections have Kawhi leading the way with a 44.62 point projection which is why he gets the slight nod as the top overall MVP option.
Trae Young ($14,000) – Young ranks second with a 40.69 point projection but has struggled a bit of late, topping 36 FD points in just one of his last four games. While he’s been upgraded to probable, it’s also worth noting that Young is dealing with a bruised quad and it’s worth monitoring his status up until the game tips off.
Top Value Options
Ivica Zubac ($9,000) – Serge Ibaka has missed the last three games for Los Angeles and is already listed as out for Monday’s game against the Hawks. Ibaka’s absence should once again mean a starting role for Ivica Zubac who has been extremely solid in his three fill-in starts. Zubac’s stats for his last game against Charlotte don’t look good but he missed his entire final rotation with the Clippers blowing out the Hornets 125-98. Zubac and the next value option (Marcus Morris) are such strong options that it seems likely we’ll see even more than normal overlap on this slate, which means fading one of the two is a viable strategy for large-field tournaments.
Marcus Morris ($7,000) – I typically like to provide value options from both teams in this section but Zubac and Morris are so much better value options than any player on Atlanta and I want to make sure that’s clear. Morris has started in place of Nicolas Batum in the Clippers’ last three games, playing 30+ minutes and scoring 28+ FD points in the two games that didn’t end in a blowout. Rostering Morris allows you to easily fit three of Kawhi, Trae, George, and Capela, which seems like the clear best path to lineup construction for this slate.
