This week, we head to Daytona Beach, Florida for the Coke Zero Sugar 400. The race is Saturday night at 7:30pm ET on NBC. This is the final race of the regular season. Reddick has a good points edge over Bowman, and with only two spots open, everyone else below the cutoff line is in a must-win situation. Bowman could technically catch Reddick in points, and I would assume Bowman is going to be going hard for stage points. I think this race is going to be wild, and most drivers feel the same way. There is a little bit of edge this weekend in knowing which teammates are likely to help each other. The last time the pole sitter won a point-paying race at Daytona was Dale Earnhardt Jr. in July of 2015. That’s the only time in the last 29 races at Daytona that the pole sitter has won the race. The race winner has started 17th or worse in 4 of the last 7 Next-Gen races here. In the 7 races here with the new car, there has been a max of 2 drivers starting inside the top 10 in the optimal lineup.
NASCAR DFS Picks: Coke Zero Sugar 400
The stages are 35, 60, and 65, which is a total of 160 laps. With 160 laps, we’re looking at 112 potential dominator points on DraftKings and 16 laps led points and 16 laps completed points on FanDuel. Usually, 112 dominator points would be important, but Daytona/Talladega are different. If someone leads 100 laps and wins the race, that dominator would be optimal.
