This weekend, we head to Circuit of the Americas for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. The race is Sunday at 3:30pm ET on FOX. This is the first road course race of the 2025 season. COTA is a fantastic road course. With that said, we have a new look for COTA this weekend. They’re racing on the National Course instead of the Full Course. We’re going from a 3.41-mile, 20-turn course to a 2.3-mile, 20-turn course. The shorter course should provide more passing chances and more opportunities to make mistakes. I think this course is going to benefit the good road course racers, and braking should play even more of a role. We saw the fast Xfinity cars able to drive through the field and make passes. Plus, we have a new tire this weekend, and we saw great fall off on a 10-lap run in practice. With 20-30 lap runs, we could see a lot of comers and goers toward the end of the stages.
NASCAR DFS Picks: EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix
The stages are 20, 25, and 50, which is a total of 95 laps. We’re going from 68 to 95 laps. With 95 laps, we’re looking at 42.75 potential fastest laps and 23.75 laps led on DraftKings. On FanDuel, we’re looking at 9.5 laps led and 9.5 laps completed points. In 2024 and 2023, there were 2 drivers who started inside the top 10 in the optimal. Byron started on the pole and led 42 of 68 laps on his way to being optimal. There were only 2 cautions for 4 laps here last season.
