This weekend, we head to Watkins Glen for the Go Bowling at the Glen. The race is Sunday at 2pm ET on USA. Watkins Glen is a 2.45-mile road course that features 8 turns. It was repaved in 2015, and tire wear has never been an issue. With that said, Goodyear brought a new tire to Watkins Glen last season, and we were seeing 1-2 seconds of fall off at the end of a 15-20 lap run. This tire has generated slower lap times in practice and at other road courses this season. I think we see all kinds of different strategies this weekend, which adds even more variance to a road course. I’ll be using 2025 speed, 2025 road course speed, practice data, Next-Gen road course data, and a few other things when building lineups. Connor Zilisch got hurt in Victory Lane on Saturday, and TrackHouse removed the entry for that car, so he will be scoring 0 fantasy points.
NASCAR DFS Picks: Go Bowling at the Glen
The stages are 20, 20, and 50, which is a total of 90 laps. The fuel window is 33 to 38 laps, which opens some different strategy potential. With 90 laps, we’re only looking at 9 points for laps led and 9 points for laps completed on FanDuel. We’re looking at 40.5 potential fastest lap points and 22.5 laps led points on DraftKings.
