This weekend, we head to Rockingham Speedway for the Black’s Tire 200. The race is Friday night at 5:00 PM ET on FS1. Practice and qualifying starts at 12:30 PM ET on Friday afternoon. Practice is 50 minutes long, which should be a great starting point for us. The Truck Series has only run two races at Rockingham and haven’t raced here since 2013. Matt Crafton is the only driver in the field to race in both of those races. Multiple drivers said they weren’t expecting the track to feel so fast in the test. Rockingham Speedway is a 1.017-mile D-Shaped Oval. With the corner banking, it’s classified as a steep track. Bristol, Homestead, and Las Vegas are all steep tracks we’ve raced at this season. I’ll be pulling data from those races, but my biggest factor will be practice. It will be interesting to see the tire fall off over the runs during practice. The RotoGrinders Discord before the race is going to be the best place to ask me questions.
NASCAR Truck Series DFS Picks – Black’s Tire 200
The stages are 45, 45, and 110, which is a total of 200 laps. With 200 laps, we’re looking at 90 potential fastest laps and 50 laps led. We’re looking at roughly 110-115 potential dominators after cautions. Both Truck races here in 2012 and 2013 had a driver lead at least 100 laps. Depending on qualifying, I’ll likely be building 1-3 dominator lineups. I’d assume 1-2 will be my two highest-owned dominator groups.
