This weekend we head to Talladega Superspeedway for the AG-Pro 300. The race is Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on The CW. NASCAR doesn’t do practice at Talladega, but qualifying is Friday afternoon. When building lineups, I’ll be looking at recent Talladega data, superspeedway data, recent speed data, and a few other things. We can’t predict these races; roster construction is king, and don’t be afraid to leave salary on the table. Xfinity races on superspeedways have been even harder than Cup races to predict. There have been at least 5 cautions in 8 of the last 10 races here. The race winner has started inside the top 10 in 7 of those 10 races. Fun fact: Chevrolet has won 10 straight Xfinity races at Talladega.
NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Picks: AG-Pro 300
The stages are 25, 25, and 63, which is a total of 113 laps. With 113 laps, we’re looking at a potential of 50.85 fastest laps and 28.25 laps led points on DraftKings. With cautions and fastest laps spread out, we’re not worried about dominators this weekend. If someone leads a lot of laps and finishes well, they’re likely going to be optimal. I’ll use groups to hopefully nail that person. Looking at the optimal lineups for the last 9 races here, there have not been any optimal lineups with more than two drivers starting inside the top 10.
