This weekend we head to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250. The race is Saturday at 5 p.m. ET on CW. There is no practice this week, but qualifying for Trucks and Xfinity is Friday night. In case you didn’t know, Atlanta Motor Speedway was changed after the final 2021 race. It went from a track with a lot of tire wear and medium banking to a new surface with a lot of banking. It’s an intermediate track that races like Daytona and Talladega. The biggest difference is that those tracks are 2.5 miles with a lot more room, while Atlanta is a 1.5-mile with two to three lanes to run. The wrecks happen fast but don’t seem to take out as many cars as a Daytona and Talladega race. We will see a lot more single-file racing at Atlanta, and the middle lane is the dominant lane. The Xfinity runs have not been as strong as the Cup runs in the draft here.

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Picks: Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250

The stages are 45, 45, and 73, which is a total of 163 laps. With 163 laps, we’re looking at 73.35 fastest lap points and 40.75 laps led points. There were at least eight cautions in 3 of the 4 races here in 2022 and 2023. Last season, we saw 4 cautions in the spring and 6 cautions in the fall. The race winner has started inside the top 5 in all 6 races here with the “new” Atlanta design. There have been 29, 22, 25, 17, 14, and 23 lead lap finishing cars in those races.
