This weekend, we head to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Pennzoil 250. The race is Saturday at 4:30pm ET on The CW. Last season was the first time since 2019 the XFINITY Series has run on the Indy Oval. They ran here from 2012 to 2019, and the race winner started inside the top 3 in 7 of those 8 races. Last season, the race winner was Riley Herbst from 2nd starting place. They have the superspeedway engine package, but they’re running the intermediate package. Single car runs we’re almost faster than cars in packs in practice. This is the same tire they ran at Indy last season. I’ll be using practice, recent 2025 speed, recent Pocono/Indy data, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. I’ll be weighing practice a little more than usual this week.
NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Picks: Pennzoil 250
The stages are 30, 30, and 40, which is a total of 100 laps. With 100 laps, we’re looking at 45 potential fastest lap points and 25 laps led points. After cautions, we’re likely looking at 60ish dominator points. You can short pit the stages if you’re within 8 to 12 seconds of the leader. Last season, Riley Herbst was the best car in practice, and practice correlated very well with the race.
