Today is the first end of a back-to-back for the Rockets which means that Russell Westbrook will be sitting out this game as he has been doing on one end of back-to-backs all year. Outside of Westbrook it looks like it will be all systems go for both teams Tuesday night.

The Rockets come into this game in good form as they currently sit fourth in the Western Conference with a record of 26-12 including 7-3 in their last 10. For betting purposes so far this season, the Houston Rockets have been an entirely average team to back, going 19-19 against the spread, though they have been better at home, going 11-9 ATS and 14-4 straight up in Houston compared to 9-11 ATS and 12-8 straight up on the road. It is no secret how the Rockets have played basketball this season. Their games routinely end up in high scoring affairs as they currently rank 2nd in pace, 15th in defensive efficiency, and 2nd in offensive efficiency.

Looking at the Grizzlies, we see a team that has been in similarly good shape despite a difficult start to the season. This is a team with a bunch of young talent that seems to be putting things together in the last few games. Even with a record of 18-22 this season, the Grizzlies come into this game sitting in 8th place in the Western Conference and have gone 7-3 in their last 10 including five straight wins. On the season, the Grizzlies currently sit 3rd in pace, 22nd in defensive efficiency, and 15th in offensive efficiency, but if we look at the last 10 games we see them sitting 2nd in pace, 18th in defensive efficiency, and 4th in offensive efficiency. While these numbers may be a little bit jaded due to matchups against teams like the Kings, Suns, Twolves, and Spurs, it’s worth noting that they have blown out the Clippers and beat the Spurs in that time frame.

NBA Betting Picks: Over 239 Points & Memphis +5

The Grizzlies come into this game in really good form. They have been clicking on all cylinders on the offensive end recently and I don’t really see either of these teams stopping each other from scoring. This is likely going to be one of the higher scoring games we’ve seen this season here, making it a premier matchup for DFS purposes. I think that the Grizzlies end up pulling out a close game, if not a win, against the Rockets who have lost three in a row when Westbrook is sidelined. Additionally, the Rockets have gone 4-9 ATS this season as a road favorite.
