NBA DFS Core Plays - DraftKings & FanDuel Optimal Picks: Thursday, April 7th

Each weekday, Andy Means will be asking and answering some of the NBA DFS slate’s most important questions. A former Duke basketball walk-on and now full-time DFS player, Andy will also run over his core plays to blend it all together from a roster construction perspective. On weekends, RG NBA projections analyst Allan Lem takes the reigns.

Thursday, April 7th

*_When factoring everything in (e.g., motivations, matchups, etc.), who are some of the most trustworthy spend-ups on this slate?

Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,900 FD / $9,600): The T-Wolves still have a puncher’s chance of catching the Nuggets for the #6 seed, which is a really big deal considering the #6 seed is playOFFS and the #7 seed is play-IN. It also helps that Minnesota starts an hour before Denver, so I don’t see any reason why Minnesota won’t play this one completely normal tonight. The matchup is great here too, with San Antonio ranking fourth in pace (Minnesota is first!), 17th in Defensive Rating, and 24th in defensive efficiency against opposing centers. KAT has looked much more like himself the past three games too.
