GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
8:25 AM ET: We have an 11-game slate on tap for tonight as we head into the weekend. I’m seeing a bunch of 9’s and 10’s in The Situation Room, so things are probably going to be all over the place today and tonight. Let’s start things off this morning by looking at the two teams who are on the second night of a back-to-back and haven’t submitted injury reports yet. These two teams just so happened to play each other last night too, if we actually want to call that a basketball game.
Denver Nuggets: The only rotation player the Nuggets were missing last night was Jeff Green, and we already know he will be out tonight as well. Considering how few minutes the main players had to play last night, I think the only situation up in the air for tonight’s game would be the status of Jamal Murray, who has yet to play both legs of a back-to-back set this season. Considering he played just 21 minutes last night, this seems like the perfect time to test out that knee on a B2B. In fact, Murray himself said that he would be playing tonight. Remember, the organization sometimes steps in and overrules the player on these calls, but my guess is we see Murray out there tonight against the Cavs. Anything else here from Denver would be very unexpected.
