GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
7:58 AM ET: We start off the week with a seven-game slate on this glorious Monday. Let’s go through the two teams on the second night of a back-to-back to see what we might be looking at when it comes to player availability when these injury reports get released later today.
Portland Trail Blazers: The Blazers are relatively healthy, with only Justise Winslow (who remains out with a sprained ankle) missing last night’s game against the Lakers. Portland is actually a breath of fresh air, as they have been playing pretty condensed rotations this season and not doing much of the load management thing. If we see anyone pop up on the injury report later today, it will probably be because of that though. Guys like Damian Lillard have been playing heavy minutes lately (40 of ‘em last night), so it’s possible the organization steps in and gets him (or one of his teammates) to take a night off. There is no way for us to predict that though, so we’ll just have to wait and see if anyone besides Winslow is on their injury report. I’m expecting business as usual here for Portland though and will adjust if they happen throw us a curveball.
