GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
8:10 AM ET – Happy Wednesday, everyone! I am covering for Andy today to give him a little respite after he saved the day on Monday. I was supposed to cover for him on Monday while he traveled back from the RG Super Bowl gathering… and I completely forgot about it. That required him to step in last minute, and I appreciate the assist. What he called a “mix-up” was simply “Justin dropping the ball.” I believe that was my first missed assignment in 11 years at RotoGrinders. Mistakes were made!
In any case, we can only hope that reparations for that consist of good analysis and some $$$$ won on this Wednesday night. It is shaping up to be a fun slate, with a healthy 10 games on the docket. Here’s a brief summary of the news that we are dealing with today:
The Celtics are the biggest spot to monitor on this slate. Jayson Tatum is questionable due to illness. Jaylen Brown is out. The Celtics are also coming off an overtime loss to Milwaukee last night where Grant Williams (48), Sam Hauser (39), Mike Muscala (44), and Derrick White (43) all played massive minutes. Malcolm Brogdon almost saw 40 minutes off the bench. To top that off, White did not travel with the team today to see an ear specialist, so his status is up in the air for this one. We also don’t know the status of Al Horford or Marcus Smart yet. With a great matchup against Detroit on tap, we need to keep a close eye on this.
