GENERAL SLATE THOUGHTS
8:30 AM ET: We have seven games on this Wednesday but quite a bit to sift through. And it starts with some uncertain situations on teams that played last night. So like we normally do, let’s tip things off by looking at the teams on the second night of a back-to-back to see what we should be looking for when their injury reports get released.
Cleveland Cavaliers: In last night’s win in Charlotte, the Cavs were without Donovan Mitchell (finger sprain – injury management) and Jarrett Allen (eye contusion). The reporting around Mitchell (and the fact that he was listed with injury management) makes it seem as if his absence last night was strictly back-to-back related, so we are including him in projections right now. As for Allen though, that eye injury has caused him to miss the last two games, so we are calling him doubtful for now and keeping him out of projections.
The only other name to mention here is Ricky Rubio, as he has still not played in both legs of a back-to-back set since returning this season back in January. So we are calling him doubtful too and keeping him out of projections. Anything else here from the Cavs would be unexpected.
