Hello, and happy Saturday. I’m not generally a conspiracy theorist, though I am wondering why the Hawks and Wizards seem to play every single day. Jalen Johnson has missed a few games in a row with an ankle injury, and that news has shaken up approximately 14 consecutive slates. These teams also just spent the week playing against each other. While they’re both playing tonight, they’re not playing each other this time, so at least there’s that.
As always, I’ll be here throughout the day providing updates as injury news trickles in. Quite a few teams are playing for the second time in as many nights – the Hawks and Wizards are playing for the 41st time in as many nights – so there should be some movement once we get the updated injury reports. I’ll also be on Grinders Live with TJ and Tim in the ~90 minutes leading up to lock, so check that out.
Slate Overview
The sites have different main slates tonight, because of course they do. DraftKings is rolling with a 5-gamer tipping off at 7:30 PM ET, while FanDuel has those same 5 games along with the late-night Spurs-Blazers clash (10 PM ET). There’s quite a bit of value in that last game, so your lineups will likely be meaningfully different between the sites. There’s also a lot of news to follow, with Jalen Johnson, Anthony Davis, and Draymond Green among those carrying questionable tags into the weekend.
