NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today

Wednesday night brings us 9 NBA games, but we won’t be letting the status of Grayson Allen bother us tonight, as both FanDuel and DraftKings have left the 10:00 PM ET matchup between the Cavs and Suns off the slate. It’s just as well on this injury-riddled late-season slate that tips off at 7:00 PM ET with 2 games, continues at 7:30 PM ET with 3 more games, and then concludes with the 3 “late” 8:00 PM ET games.

Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

Top NBA DFS Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel

High Flyers

Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:

Giannis Antetokounmpo
FanDuel: $12,000
DraftKings: $11,800

Milwaukee is still a double-digit favorite against Memphis despite missing Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton, and Patrick Beverley, and Giannis is the reason why. He is the clear top projected player on the slate, is coming off a triple-double in 3 quarters last night (and could do the same tonight), and later in the season, as we get plenty of value, it’s easier to spend up for players like Giannis. Giannis actually sees his per-minute production drop from 1.69 DK to 1.59 DK with Lillard, Middleton, and Beverley off the court this season, and he still projects easily as the top play on the slate.

Deandre Ayton
FanDuel: $7,700
DraftKings: $7,600

Charlotte’s interior has been a situation to target this season, as they have allowed the 3rd-most rebounds per game and the 8th-most points in the paint. Ayton has been a fantasy machine in the second half of the season, averaging 22.3 points and 13 rebounds per game on 62% FG% after the All-Star Break compared to 13.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game on 56% FG% before the break. Only 3 games on this slate have a single-digit spread, and the POR/CHA matchup is the closest, with just a 1-point spread that alleviates the blowout concern with spend-up players in other spots.

Site Specialists

Just like a good 3-and-D small forward, sometimes a player fits the specific need we have on the specific site we’re playing on. These are the guys that stand out on one particular site:
