NBA DFS Lineup Advice Today
We’re winding down the last few days of the NBA regular season with 5 games tonight. As I noted in the Expert Survey, motivation is becoming a much more important factor as the NBA season draws to a close.
The slate tips off at 7:00 PM ET with the Bulls facing the Pistons in Detroit (Bulls -9.5, 220) in a game Chicago wants to win to secure home-court advantage for their Play-In matchup against Atlanta. Ayo Dosunmu is questionable for the Bulls, while Cade Cunningham is questionable for the Pistons.
At 7:30 PM ET, the Knicks travel to Boston to take on the Celtics (Boston -1.5, 217), who have secured the top seed in the East. The Knicks are still playing for playoff seeding but should be safely above the Play-In Tournament. Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, Oshae Brissett, and Xavier Tillman are all questionable for the Celtics, and any of their main pieces is a candidate to see shorter-than-normal minutes with the top playoff spot secured.
At 9:00 PM ET, the Rockets visit the Jazz in Utah (Rockets -11, 227.5). Both teams have been eliminated from the playoffs, and Utah is expected to be without Jordan Clarkson, John Collins, Kris Dunn, Walker Kessler, and Collin Sexton, opening the floodgates for value plays from the Jazz.
The final two games tip off at 10:00 PM ET, with the Pelicans in Sacramento to take on the Kings (Kings -1, 215) and the Warriors taking on the Trail Blazers in Portland (Warriors -14, 222.5).
The Pelicans are currently in the 6th seed but just a half-game out of the Play-In Tournament in the West, the Kings are holding the 8th seed but can move up or down, and the Warriors are the 10th seed but are only a half-game behind the Lakers for the 9th seed. Naji Marshall is questionable and Larry Nance is out for the Pelicans, Keegan Murray is questionable for the Kings, and Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are both questionable for the Warriors.

Who are the players I’m picking first for my squad? These guys are the first selections for both my cash game and tournament lineups, and I’ll sacrifice elsewhere, if need be, to ensure I get them in:
DeMar DeRozan
FanDuel: $8,600
DraftKings: $8,100
Chicago is motivated to secure the home-court advantage for their Play-In game against Atlanta, and DeRozan has been playing as if it’s the playoffs already. He has averaged nearly 41 minutes per game and 28.8 points per game over his 4 games in April as the team makes its playoff push. The Pistons have allowed the 5th-most points per game this season, giving DeRozan motive and opportunity against Detroit.
Jalen Green
FanDuel: $8,400
DraftKings: $8,400
Picking a second High Flyer is a difficult decision, with several players like Stephen Curry and De’Aaron Fox in good spots and playing for playoff positioning, but I’ll side with the excellent matchup and production for Green. He is facing a Utah team that allows the 2nd-most points per game this season and will be without many of their key contributors. Green has been excellent for Houston since the All-Star Break, averaging 23.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game compared to 18 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists before the break.
